Steps of Bhramari Pranayama (Bee breath)-

The steps to perform bhramari pranayama are as follows:-

  • To do the Bhramari Pranayama one first and foremost needs to sit in the Padmasana in a very relaxed posture. The room must be highly ventilated and clean. This gives a good vibe.
  • Next, close your eyes and take deep breaths. This must be done a few times to relax the body.
  • Now, one has to place the index finger absolutely above the eyebrows and the rest of the fingers must be on the eyes with the middle on the eyeball. The eyes here are completely shut and are in a relaxed position.
  • Very gently the next step is to pressurize on the nose.
  • From here one can start the journey or the pranayama. At this point, as you start with the bhramari pranayama you need to focus on the middle of both eyebrows. This focusing is slightly tough at the beginning but one shall be accustomed as one proceeds with the pranayama.
  • Keep the lips closed. Here one need not tighten the lips solidly but you just can keep it closed.
  • Next, keep on breathing slowly with the nose and there should not be any change in the breathing from the normal day’s breathing.
  • Thus as you keep on breathing slowly you need to make a humming sound just like the bee does.
  • The humming sound should have the pronunciation of “om” and should have a vibration effect in the inner portion of the face, eyes, nose.
  • This can be done for about 3 to 5 minutes. The continuous humming should be there with the inhaling and exhaling of air through the nose.
  • As you slowly open the eyes, rib your hands and place them on both eyes.
  • Next rest for some time and again begin with the Bhramari Pranayama

Thus these are the steps to perform the Bhramari Pranayama. These steps are pretty simple to perform and can be done at any place or any time of the day.
