Some Main Topics
Hatha Yoga means to balance the two powerful energies of the body, i.e. Lunar Energy (denotes by the left channel or Ida Nadi) and Solar Energy (denotes by the right channel or Pingala Nadi). Hatha yoga is a set of various yoga poses and breathing techniques which are practiced at a slow pace. Hatha literally means "force" and so it is also known as "Force Yoga" or you can also say that with the Hatha style, yoga is done by force. Hatha Yoga is done originally focus on bodily postures and controlling the breath. The practice includes bodily movements, mindful energy, and breathing patterns. A single class usually lasts for 45-90 minutes of breathing, yoga asanas, mudras or hand gestures, and meditation.
The style of Hatha Yoga originated from Raja Yoga (without Yamas and Niyamas). In simpler terms, you can describe it as all about yoga poses and pranayama. Hatha Yoga is also known as Shatanga Yoga or six-limb yoga, namely, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi.
The morning Hatha class of 1 hour and 30 minutes is conducted at Rishikesh Yogkulam during the 500 Hours Yoga TTC in Rishikesh. Generally, the class starts with a warm-up session, which moves forward to advance physical poses. The class is completely based on "Hatha Yoga Pradipika" and offers you an opportunity to stretch yourself in the finest lifestyle.
Vinyasa is also known as flow yoga or power yoga. It includes moving from one posture to another by maintaining the proper synchronization of the breath. Vinyasa is completely opposite to Bikram Yoga or Ashtanga yoga and the uniqueness of the Vinyasa style is that no two classes are ever the same in this. The word, "Vinyasa" is the combination of two words, "Vi" meaning "Special", and "Nyasa" meaning "Establishment".
Vinyasa style of yoga is a boon to your health. It not only helps you in keeping active but also helps in reducing anxiety and stress. It is a way for achieving a great fitness level and improves the health of your heart. Vinyasa Yoga also shows a positive effect on the emotional aspect. It removes negative thoughts from your mind.
A class of vinyasa yoga is included in the 500 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh. Under the teachings of veteran and professional yoga gurus, tricks and learning of the vinyasa style are taught. The class includes the common pose of Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutations, in which you need to move from one pose to another.
Ashtanga Yoga is an eight-limbed yoga which takes you to the finest and last stage of Samadhi. The word, "Ashtanga" is actually the combination of two words "Ashta" means "Eight" and "Anga" means "Limb". The description of Ashtanga Yoga was found mentioned in the Patanjali Yoga Sutras. It was compiled by Sage Patanjali in 200 CE. There are 196 sutras in the text which comprise the theory of practice of yoga. There are four padas or sections in yoga sutras. The second pada describes eight limbs namely, Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-discipline), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense withdrawal), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (oneness with the self).
At Rishikesh Yogkulam, students get a chance to explore Ashtanga Yoga with the 500 Hours Yoga Course in Rishikesh. All eight limbs are practiced under this. It starts with asana and takes you to the ultimate stage of Samadhi. Ashtanga Yoga is a practice where students are allowed to move through the same sets of asanas at the same pace.
Meditation has been practice for over the years in India and all around the world. It is a set of various techniques that encourage awareness and focus in an individual. It is a psychological technique in which you get to calm your mind and soul. It is also important for physical wellness. It is also a spiritual practice. Some say that Meditation is a practice of becoming a new or different personality but this isn't true. Meditation is all about creating awareness inside you to make you a healthy and happy person.
Adding meditation to your daily routine is surely a healthy option for your overall well-being. With this, you become able to turn off unnecessary disturbing thoughts and feelings. You observe yourself without any judgement. And at last, you become the person, you always want to be.
The 500 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course in Rishikesh covers a one-hour evening class of Meditation. We introduce various types of meditation techniques like Concentrative Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation, Body-scan meditation, Breathing meditation, Loving-kindness meditation, Mantra meditation, and Movement meditation which helps you practicing them correctly. The evening time is best for meditation as during that time, the atmosphere is pure and exotic.
Pranayama is one of the eight limbs of yoga which helps in controlling the prana (life force or energy) of an individual. It involves various practices and techniques, which are done with the aim to withdraw yourself from the outside world. Pranayama works on the two nadis of the body, namely ida nadi and pingala nadi. When we inhale, the prana travels upward with the left nadi, i.e. Ida Nadi. With these movements, the breath is purified in the lungs and the mind becomes detached from the outside world for a moment. After this, the process is carried forward by exhalation. In this, the energy travels in the downward direction through the right energy channel, known as Pingala Nadi. This process of going energy downward is called Apana.
The process of inhalation and exhalation also signifies that when we inhale, we get the feeling of excitement and happiness, and when we exhale, we eliminate the feeling of defeat and depression.
A morning 1-hour session is given to Pranayama practice in the 500 Hours Yoga Course in Rishikesh. Morning time is considered the best for it as, during that time, the air is pure and positive energy surrounds the atmosphere. The class introduces you to various types of pranayama practices namely, Bhastrika pranayama, Kapal Bhati pranayama, Nadi Shodhan pranayama, and Bhramari pranayama.

I had the most memorable month at Rishikesh Yogkulam. The teachers were absolutely excellent - extremely thorough, knowledgeable and very experienced. I can't recommend this school enough.
Amit was one of the teachers from my 200h TTC and he made a massive impression on me. In fact so much that I made sure to follow his journey and enrol for my 300h YTT at his school. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your knowledge, motivating us and teaching us how to not only be teachers, but also giving us a better understanding of the yogic way of life. Often wanting to focus on the asana side of yoga, we forget the importance of the philosophy, the anatomy, the meditation and the breathing that plays such an integral part of yoga. Whether I'm going to teach after this or not, I don't know. But one thing I know for sure and that is that I am richer in so many ways. I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life.
Amit and my fellow students, I truly hope our paths will cross again. My heart feels full and warm as I think back to us dancing after our graduation. Missing you tons!

Rishikesh Yogkulam offers various courses varying from the Beginner Level to an Advanced Level. The classes are indoor and outdoor. The indoor classes are performed in the yoga hall at our yoga school. While the classes are going on, the windows are kept open so that students get fresh air and proper ventilation and can perform yoga with greater zeal. To keep the class away from disturbance, cell phones are prohibited in the yoga hall and unnecessary talking is also not allowed.
After completing the 500-hour yoga teacher training course from Rishikesh, you would become a person with a great personality. You would get an authentic certificate from the institute, which would state that the student has completed his yoga teacher training course from a renounced institute of yoga teacher training and is entirely eligible to become a yoga instructor. The certificate would be from the Yoga Alliance, which is the top-notch yoga institute internationally.
Words can not express how amazing the quality of Yogkulam is! From the very beginning I felt like I was at home. The instructors are so awesome, especially Manu and Amit. Both of them have a true passion for teaching and it really shows up when they lead class. The other instructors do a really good job as well! I learned so much in my 300 hr, and really improved my personal yoga practice. You will be pushed both mentally and physically, but it will make you super grateful in the end!
The facilities are super nice! Having your own "room" even though it's shared is an added bonus. From the balconies, beware of the monkeys, to the bathroom, and the large, comfy beds everything is what you need to feel at home. The yoga halls are large and spacious with nice views of the mountains.
The Sunday excursions were the best! It was so much fun going out with everyone and seeing things outside of the hustle and bustle of the small city area. Connecting closer with classmates and teachers on the excursions makes the whole experience so special.
The food! The food is so, so good! The chef is an amazing cook. Every dish tastes so good, and he will cater to any allergies one may have.
Overall, I loved, loved my time at Yogkulam! I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for honest, trustworthy, hardworking teachers who really know and understand the yogic lifestyle, and how to apply it. You will not be disappointed in your choice! Love and light!

I first studied TTC from Amit Ji and Dheeru Ji 2 years ago in Rishikesh. They taught me that yoga isn’t all about asanas. If practiced correctly, yoga should create space within our minds and bodies. I decided to return to them this year because I knew I’d receive top level training. And I was right.
Rishikesh Yogkulam trained me really hard to be a good teacher. They remembered where I left and gave me tailored advice to go forward.
I’m studying for a Masters degree while having a full time job. Practicing yoga aside was never easy. My shoulders are tight, my hips are not open, my arms are short... I have 100 reasons not to carry on. But I’m so glad I met Amit Ji. He pointed out all those “obstacles”, then he offered me an option to create the space I need. “You have better forward-bending than 2 years ago, but you can do even better.” It was the first thing he said to me after my first class this time.
I also walked away from Dheru’s Ashtanga class because of my own weakness 2 years ago. Two years later today, he taught me how to enjoy tough training with a smile. I didn’t run away this time. I now call him Master Dheru, a great teacher who put himself in students’ shoes and inspired me to be a good teacher myself.
Both Amit & Dheru kept presenting new perspectives to me. They challenged me a lot. But they also respect me. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me.
I’m really grateful to the school because they allowed me to be me while pushing me forward. They equipped me with the tools I need to live the life I want. I’m looking forward to training with them again. Thank you!

Get Healed From Inner
In the journey of life, we encounter various experiences that shape who we are. While some moments bring joy and fulfillment, others can leave a profound impact on our emotional well-being. Past traumas, stress, grief, and anger, if left unresolved, can create blockages within our bodies, potentially leading to mental and physical illnesses. However, there is hope in the form of Emotional Release Treatment. This powerful therapeutic approach combines the use of Deep Acupressure points with Energized Breathing to facilitate the release of pent-up emotions and promote holistic healing.
Understanding Emotional Release Treatment.
Emotional Release Treatment is a therapeutic process designed to address the emotional and energetic imbalances that reside within us. It acknowledges that unexpressed emotions can manifest as physical and mental ailments, disrupting our overall well-being. This treatment approach recognizes the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and emotions, seeking to restore balance by encouraging the healthy expression and release of stored emotions.
The Role of Deep Acupressure Points.
Deep Acupressure points, also known as acupoints or energy meridians, are specific locations on the body that are believed to carry and regulate the flow of energy, or "qi." In Emotional Release Treatment, skilled practitioners apply gentle pressure to these points, stimulating the body's energy pathways and promoting the release of emotional blockages. By accessing these points, the treatment aims to restore the natural flow of energy, alleviating tension and facilitating emotional release.
The Power of Energized Breathing.
Energized Breathing is a technique that involves breathing deeply and rhythmically to increase oxygen intake and activate the emotional center of the brain, this helps body's relaxation response, reduce stress levels, and facilitate emotional healing. Conscious and intentional breathing patterns are practiced to encourage a deep sense of relaxation and release. As the breath is consciously directed, it helps to calm the mind, release stored tension, and facilitate the processing of emotions.
The Benefits of Emotional Release Treatment.

He once decided to suicide in River Ganga due to the loss of his beloved youngsters. Still, Goddess Ganga denied his self-destruction, so he spent his life in a cave with his wife near the same location, and eventually, a small ashram was built around that cave. In 1930, Swami Purshottamanand sought a haven of tranquility for those searching for profound reflection in the ashram. So he dedicated himself to preserving and sustaining the natural beauty that sprouted around Vashistha Yoga Ashram - where people from all over flock today to discover their inner power amidst nature's wonders.
